History of the Brindavan Gardens

There is an interesting tale attached to the history of the Brindavan Gardens. It is said that the idea behind the establishment of this garden was of Sir Mirja Islam, the then Diwan of Mysore. He wanted to enhance the overall beauty around KRS Dam and hence, thought to start its construction. The work was assigned to the Department of Horticulture in 1927 and within 5 years, it was completed.
